After the launch of iPhone X most of the companies like Vivo, OnePlus, Asus, LG, OPPO and now Nokia are looking forward or already have incorporated the “NOTCH”. Currently, edge-to-edge displays are appearing in almost all of the phones. This makes them look amazing and also provide a bigger screen. So let’s discuss the new Nokia X.
The All New Nokia X :
The notch in the Nokia X will house an earpiece, front camera and proximity sensors while the notch on iPhone X incorporates a front camera, bunch of sensors and Face ID. The device will be launched on May 16. Now talking about the built, the rear of the phone is made of glass and includes a vertical dual camera setup in the middle. Below the cameras, there is a dual tone led flash and a fingerprint sensor. The charging port is at the bottom of the phone but we are not quite sure whether it will be MicroUSB or a Type-C port. Most probably it would be Type-C as it is more user-friendly. Now talking about the screen, the phone is supposed to sport a 5.8″ Full HD+ screen offering a resolution of 1080 * 2280 pixels with an aspect ratio of 19:9.
The phone could be powered by either of two chipsets MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core SoC(System on Chip). Snapdragon would be better because it provides a better battery life as compared to MediaTek and moreover heating issues are more in MediaTek chips so Snapdragon is a better option.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Nokia X’s base variant is expected to be around 16,000 to 17,000 INR for the base variant.
The Storage And Ram options Available :
It is expected to come in 2 variants one is 64GB storage and 4 GB RAM and the other is 128GB storage and 6GB RAM. Like the previous Nokia phones Nokia 6, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco the new Nokia X also sports a Carl ZEISS optics with a primary camera of 12MP. There is not enough information about the secondary camera.
Nokia X is expected to run on stock Android 8.1 Oreo. Nokia is working hard and coming up with wide range of phones to compete with other smartphone companies. Also, check out our blog on the Nokia phones released previously this year.
