Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X launched today in India at Rs. 24,990 and Rs. 34,990 respectively.
Both the phones are Amazon exclusive, i.e it will only will be available on Amazon.in. Evolve will be available from mid September, while Evolve X will be available from the end of August.
The Blackberry Evolve comes with 4GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 256 GB. It runs on Snapdragon 450, which is an octa core processor. It has a 4,000 mAh battery with quick charge.
It has a 6 inch IPS LCD Display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, additionally the display is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It has a 16 MP front facing camera. At the back it has dual camera setup, 13 MP each, setup vertically. It has a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone. These device also supports facial recognition to unlock phone and can save up to 3 faces.
Blackberry Evolve X:
The Blackberry Evolve X comes with 6GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 2TB. It runs on Snapdragon 660. It also has a 4,000 mAh battery with quick charge 3.0 as well as wireless charging.
This has 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with a 18:9 aspect ratio and is protected by a 2.5 D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. On top of the display is a 16 MP front-facing camera with a ‘selfie flash’ while on the back it has a 12 MP+13 MP dual camera setup vertically. The camera also comes equipped with a live bokeh mode. Even this device supports facial recognition to unlock phone and can save up to 3 faces.
It is quite astonishing to see that both these phones do not have notches, instead they have got chubby chins at the top and the bottom.
At this price range, it is quite difficult to break Oneplus’s market, but let’s see if these phones can help Blackberry to acquire a significant position in the market.
